Winner! What I'd have done int that situation would be to get a better viewpoint. Then at least when I chuck it down the road I'll have summat to remember it by....
if he cant even point the camera in the right direction then what chance of pointing the car in the right direction what was with the down shifts
Poor bloke, as for that person sl*gging him off...well, i take it was a track day...we all get a little over excited at times. We've all got to start somewhere maybe in this blokes case the summer may have helped! Who does that bloke on the evo forum think the drive of the clio is? Schumacher ffs
i hate gravel traps, too easy for a car to get flicked over. yes, he was obviously inexperienced.....but it does seem like he paid a very high price for that. people are being a bit harsh on him i think.
Ouch! I was at Dono today for the TrackZone and a Scooby was sitting in the car park at lunch looking sorry for itself. I only turned up at about 1pm so missed the accident, but it looked like it had flipped and slid on it's roof - probably quite similar to this vid. Paint was scraped off all down one side, roof/bonnet/scoop had been caved in and pebbles crushed in any available space in the bodywork/between the tyres and wheels - must have hit pretty hard. I have no idea what caused it or where it was but it looked nasty.
The Sun was out, the track was dry and it was quite warm. I don't know first hand how the track surface was as I was only spectating, but it didn't appear as though it was too greasy today. GVK: I was spectating the time that you had your incident with the cold slicks through Craners(?). Edited because I'm a muppet. Edited by: RichS
I went to Donny yesterday only to find there was nothing on then went to Curb to find they had just finished I was going to go to Donny today but couldnt be bothered after saturday
Was Craners Rich, scary stuff! - Anyone remember Keith o' Dor losing it down Craners in the black BTCC Primera and flipping it over the fence into the out side of the circuit?
Here's the Scoob from today - pic from passion ford. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0703/marcopolo/93335fba.jp g
saw two pugs go off into the gravel a couple of weeks ago at Donny, one nearly flipped but spun round a little so it finished more or less straight on instead of sideways, both at the bottom of craners, one on the left and one on the right
That was the Toca Shoot out IIRC...1992??? Nasty..... Makes me think my track driving isnt all that bad ater watching MrClio & his 2 position throttle & full throttle gearshifts.......
It was at a TOCA shoot out Chris, maybe 92 actually. It was matey's first time on track in the Clio apparently.
