    Hi,

Just wondering what opitions are out there for a 20vt mark 1 running on megasquirt in reguards to EBCs?

What has been tried and tested? What are you using? Whats good value for money?

    I'd want switchable maps idealy.

Any recomendations? Links to cheapest place's to buy certain EBCs would be great as well

Cheers and thanks for your time!

    Leon

we use a lot of greddy profec b spec 2 controllers at work, very easy to install with the only wiring being a live and an earth.

they do a high and low boost setting at the touch of a button and can also be turned off for an lower setting.

    hope this helps

Shop around in Egay and they sell for 220 to 300 quid.
    Good lil controller that.

Had a profec B before updating to the spec 2. Even better with the wireless transponder.

Also look at HKS EVC * units, Apex-i, Blitz and Gizzmo units.

All will work and not hard to install.

I was thinking of using an Apexi unit. My friend has one on his Skyline (an AXVR) and it seems to do the job well but I dont recall it being a cheap bit of kit.

That would be an AVC-R. This has programmable gear detection (needs electronic speedo input and engine speed), allow you to control solenoid duty per gear.
    Expensive but pretty effective.

Fantastic news is I've just had my turbo off and its not f00ked like I thought. Just needs new gasket to manifold and studs re-tightening. I now have some cash freed up... me thinks boost controller is on the cards...

Thanks for all the replys, have had a look on Ebay for most of the controllers mentioned, only problem is all the auctions seem to be "from Japan" which seems abit dodgy, lol

Maybe it has been answered, but why not use MS boost controller? Sucks that much?

Ebay's the best place or direct from here. They're not specific to any car. Thats how the advertise them.

I tried. And failed. No matter what settings I used the boost DC would spike to 100% momentarily

Built one ECU and got boost control to work. Only downside you got to bring the laptop out to change thresholds.
