Gizzmo EBC looks like it will be more than adequate. Bill I think we are all looking for in car adjustable. I want to be able to crank the boost down for crusing runs whilst still maintaining the ability to turn it back to a higher setting whenever I get the urge to have even more fun. The forge mbc is underbonnet isn't it?
Sorry - Basically what I meant was that I dont want to use high boost all the time - only when I really want the extra ooomph. I want a setting where I can turn down the boost for engine and turbo longevity - or my peace of mind really
so is this the greedy one? will this be good enough http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gizzmo-IBC-El...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item563a550a81
And driveshaft & gearbox longevity! I'm in MK, looking forward to seeing your car worrying the local traffic! If you need a hand / have any tech questions I'd be happy to help.
Awesome stuff bertelli. I'm actually down in Leighton Buzzard, but only 10 mins away from Milton Keynes. Car only comes out on sunny days. I'll definately be in touch at some point!
Thats the gizzmo.Seen good reviews on it. Apparently not bad but not closed loop on that version. MS IBC is 200 and has more functions. Gizzmo MS IBC
Thanks for all the great advice guys, i shall be ordering a Gizzmo MS IBC this wednesday, i will then let you all know what its like
From what I've read, MS will have the option to use a button to use MAP 1 and MAP 2, which you could set to be easy on the boost!
Well guys i ended up getting the Greddy Profec B-Spec 2 Boost controller, i was just about to commit on ebay to buy the Gizzmo unit when i thought i'd see what else is about and a used Greddy Profec B-Spec 2 Boost controller had just been put on for a very decent buy it now price (cheaper then the gizzmo). So purchased that instead Shall let you guys know what its like...
can you change the boost by turning the n75 on and off? qpeng do it this way, but i dont know if it would work with MS.....
on and off as in a PWM signal, yes. Most ECUs and standalone devices that have boost regulation as a function work this way. MS can also be calibrated run a VW "N75" or other duty valve.
eddie question for you once i get the car back together with the new turbo will it be easier to leave the injectors and fpr that go with the ko3 on the engine and run low boost until i get it mot'd then i can drive it to you change the injectors and fpr and let you loose on it might change the cv joints before it comes to you tho just incase you get a little viperous if i did the above can leave it on the map its on but lower the boost to 5psi ?
