I had a Magnaflow on my old Mk3 Vr6. It was a decently loud exhaust without being ridiculous. Only problem is that it's a american exhaust. Dunno how it would fit on a UK model.

Most fantastic sounding exhaust I've ever heard on a VR6... and I've heard a few. Check out there website for some soundclips.

Keep in mind that off the shelf systems get louder over time the more you wear them in.

I think all the stuff packed in the silencers settles down.

I know when i was at longlife they said they can put extra stuff in the silencer to make it quieter.

ocky it would be louder .. due to less volume for silencing

Wouldnt you laugh if you would see a 340 volvo with 135/85/13 tyres and wheels , and the exhaust louder than a supra or skyline ? but I still lovd it , it was RWD an with tyres like that it was easy to spin the s...t out of it [:D] R.I.P [:D]

i can't remember but i think it had 3 boxes originally .. so that would still leave two

so it won't be mega loud if 2 remain

i might try it for the crack!
just making sure....taking a box off...replacing with a straight pipe....and just leaving one on makes no actual difference to the engine?....and doesn't do any damage?

I'd be seriously embarrassed driving around in a really loud car. Mines bad enough as it is and its all OEM. A good exhaust setup to help the flow of exhaust gasses fair enough, but driving around in something thats gonna give you a headache and get you arrested for noise pollution is just daft.

I might bolt another couple of silencers onto mine so I cant hear anything!

I agree, each to their own. I just love it when im sitting watching tele and some chav rattles by, really soothing.

Surely the note you get from the 6 cylinders is lovely enough?? Id be well chuffed with the VR6 note.
