... mine is the guitar solo in `Make Me Smile` by Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. Edited by: superden
trivium - gunshot to the head of trepidation trivium - like light to the flies and pretty much every dragonforce tune has an impressive solo in it
Im more of a guitar tone person than Solo. I beautiful clean blues solo through a cranked 50s Fender amp ala SRV floats my boat.
Trivium were the worst band I have EVER seen live. Thats 14 years of 3 gigs or so a month. Only 14 year olds like them and Dragon Force, I dont think anyone like them! They sound like Annialator in the mid 80s. 'Alice in hell' indeed.
Oh yes. I dont know 14 year olds, but sadly go to lots of gigs, and see them about in tshirts and stuff.
Time - Pink Floyd (David Gilmour) Domination - Pantera (Dimebag Darrell) Like a Hurricane - Neil Young Metropolis pt.1 Miracle and the Sleeper - Dream Theater (John Petrucci) Eleanor Rigby - Stanley Jordan (see http://video.google.com)
I was going to say that, absolutely awesome 'rock' solo in a pop song, brilliant. Other favourites: George Harrison/Beatles - 'Something' Eagles - 'Hotel California' Peter Green/Fleetwood Mac - 'Need your love so bad'
steve vai- juice the intro to 'hot for teacher' van halen!!! of course theres always Led Zep'sStairwa.......
Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name Metallica - One Lynrd Skynrd - Freebird Led Zepplin - HeartBreaker
...oh yes Would also think Freebird is superb and any of the quite sublime Clapton/Cream solos...... Kirk Hammett has played some blinders too... Jimi H is always amazing
