Trying to find a nice tidy 3 door 8v or 16v mk3 gti with under 115,000 miles on a 97 or 98 plate in good nick for around 1300. Every good-un seems to have gone already [:^(] I've tried using the forums/pistonheads and the trader. Anywhere else worth looking?
they seem 2 a penny at the moment? how far are you searching on autotrader cus it brings up 1000's if you go national... worth traveling to get the right car i think
there is a nice one on the classified here. 110k will be well low mileage for a car that old, i think youre being a bit optimistic
Just because they show on auto-trader doesn't mean they are still available. I've made about 15 calls in the last 2 days and haven't found a car thats not been sold. Problem with Autotrader is it doesn't give you an idea of how long the ads been up. I dont think 110,00 miles is that un-realastic. There are enough out there with that mileage, its just getting in there quick enough to snap them up. Which one on the forum do you refer to? http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...N&model=GOLF&min_pr=&max_pr=2000&max_mileage= http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...N&model=GOLF&min_pr=&max_pr=2000&max_mileage= http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...EN&model=GOLF&min_pr=&max_pr=2000&max_mileage http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...N&model=GOLF&min_pr=&max_pr=2000&max_mileage= etc etc
uber common for mk3s (esp on 8v with the torque twisting the chassis lol) i got mine repaired there last year (rust above windscreen is common too). you not liking mk2s any more?
Changing jobs. ATM I have a 5 mins drive to work - this is due to change to 45 mins. Petrol is high, and having some mod cons would be nice.
well if you fancy sorting the idling problem, fitting all the stuff I have just bought for it to pass its mot and don't mind sourcing a wing in the right colour (mystic blue!) then you can buy mine!!!! lol
I want something I can jump in and drive without having to worry about something braking/rusting etc etc. I want a car as a woman would want a car. To get from A to B with no issues and without having to pour money into the car to maintain it.
Right think I've got a winner. More moneyt than I was going to spend but providing the guy doesnt scum me over I think I've found a valver with under 100k miles
whats the price and spec? id expect tons and tons of paperwork to justify those miles. it ought to be a corker
