hi was just wondering what single mass flywheel and clutch would fit my 6speed 02m?? any info would be great cheers
The only OEM flywheel and clutch for the 02m box is duel mass. I'm using a helix one on my build, 400.00 quid secondhand, 850quid + new... happy hunting.
Spec (US) or Helix (UK) are your options. Talk to Backdraft - they run a Helix set up in their race car. Helix six paddle clutch with steel flywheel is around 800 + VAT new.
I have had a local A3 quattro come in with Sachs uprated clutch and flywheel.. Its faulty, giving what feels like over centering of the pressure plate.. drags badly on full pedal depression.
Well looks like i will be on the look out for new clutch set up as the one i use at the mo is giving me problems, so be carefull which clutch you choose Sprinting at pod yesterday i had to fight with gear knob just to engage second and third gear Seems to be load and heat related Good gear change at conservative revs and cold engine poo there after I use Spec 2 billet flywheel, paddle clutch and pressure plate Bill, what clutch is on your beeza?
spec stage 3+ in my ibiza touching wood, its been ok, although I am not sure I would buy another one as many peeps have had issues with Spec, and Spec have not come up to the plate in terms of after sales service.. aka tough on you if it goes wrong Southbend will be my next unit based on good things heard (so far)
will dig out an email at work, I can't remember the user name on here of a guy who can supply single mass flywheels for the 02M
G60 with an sachs uprated VR6 clutch...ive been running this set up for months now an its fine an gets plenty of abuse, BAM 225 with TT V6 4wd box...
so i can use a g60 fly with 02m box? do we have any measurements of 4/2 wheel drive spinner plate diameter ?? great info guys may get somewhere here instead of spending 800+
your be suprised what things can put up with, mines been putting up with 4k standing starts with the 4wd for the last 5 or so months an with 301lb/ft plus the clutch has been in there since late 07... id personally try this option due to the costing of it, if it dont put up with over 350lb/ft then at least you know, but you'll never know intill you try...
