Awesome vid & i thinkthe guy say he hits 49 seconds dead on the qualifying lap (vid 1:28), so how does that compare with today's peeps times?

That was indeed the same Gerry driving an RS2000 in 1974

Spent my youth watching Gerry at Thruxton, Brands, Silverstone. Other than him the escorts dominated saloons back then. Regs allowed stupid engine mods like 6 ltr V8 escorts etc. Great memories.
