I didn't notice before that you had done the work to fabricate that engine mount as well. That's good inspiration actually for the 16V Syncro bracket I need to do on my KR if you'll recall.

    + made sticky.

    I've never had a sticky before:thumbd:

That's a good point, I need to make one of those brackets aswell. Or modify the original one.

I've been thinking about this. Makes more sense than my 1.8t.

Can someone clarify what box and drive shafts I could run? I was thinking 02a CTN or similar with MK2 16v shafts?

What about flywheel clutch? I have got a g60/vr6 clutch but would prefer DMF for the diesel....

And Fuel pump? I have a 16v tank and pump at the mo.

    Thanks.

For this CTN is the best 5-speed, longest ratios. Normal MK2 16v driveshafts CV's etc.

G60 flywheel and VR6 clutch, the TDI flywheel is the same as the G60 anyway, no DMF in the old AHU MK3 I had anyway.

MK3 tank, mk4 lift pump. no need for undercar pump.

Excellent job. Its enthusiasm and practical engineering like this that makes Clubgti forum as good as it is.
My first time back on here for many months and you have delighted me, yours being the first posting I have just read!

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but wiring wise you only had the engine loom, ecu and the fuses on top the battery? No interior loom or anything like that needed for the conversion? Thanks Adam

all you need from inside the car is the accelerator pedal and loom from it to the blue plug, plus the diagnostics plug ideally. you may want to grab the clutch and brake switches and looms too

    Gearbox to use?

jumping onto the end of this thread (great it is too), I will be putting my 130 Tdi into my mk2 shortly. I have and wanted to use the 6 speed gearbox, 02m, that came with the golf donor. I have the new gearbox mount, fabia vrs driveshafts to fit this but I'm not sure now! I know (as I've picked it up with my hoist twice) the 02m is very heavy! Does anyone reading this have any experience with this in a mk2? I like the 6 speed idea, but not if its going to feel too heavy up front. The last thing I want to do is spoil the balance of the mk2!

    Thoughts, comments, ideas?

    Cheers, Leo.

I have made a spreadsheet of the PD connections for CE1 and CE2 conversions. Like the great info Rubjonny did for the 20vt wiring. And Also the ECU pinout (EDC15), Although this hasn't come out very well.
If anyone spots and mistakes please let me know and I'll update it.

only a couple corrections on the plugs :)
    T6/4 - permanent live
T14a/10 - x-over live (live ignition on but NOT cranking)

With regards to the gearboxes. There are loads to choose from.
If you want low revs high cruising speeds look at the bluemotion cars. Alot of the bluemotions use 5 speeds

If you want 6speed, you can go for a 02s box as an alternative for the 02m, you can then fit it with the original drive shafts and mounts.

Not on the information and looms I have. But happy to be proved wrong.

T6/4 goes to ecu pins 1 and 2 which is power switched by the ecu relay, permanent power at the ecu relay.

I should also mention T14a has a different pin out on the fabia/ibiza/polo. And some cars don't have the permanent power connection at all.

You are right about T6/4 [:$]

what ecu code are you looking at for the T14a? On my MK4 1.9 diagram its showing it to ignition switch pin X which is x-over live

Ah yes does seem to vary. Just seen the same as you say on a ARL diagram.
I think the ECU edc15 info said permanent live. But I can't remember the source of that info (I'll see if I can find it again)

A fabia diagram I have it doesn't exsist (although it does exsist on my fabia loom). And a ibiza loom I had didn't have it either.

Hhhmmm, Any ideas what it's used for?

the one I'm looking at is ASZ and ARL diagram, for this one T14a/10 goes to ECU pin 88 but what its actually for I cant say

I looked at BLT skoda, seat and polo diagrams too but they were all totally different to MK4 style looms so I ignored those.

Hi, did your kkk actuator hit the subframe mount? If so how did you overcome that issue please?
