Iv kept playing with the geo but also kept making it worst, done some very small changes now like a few mm lower, slightly stiffer and a ikle bit of toe out on the front and toe in on the rear. LSD can be played with aswell, just up the numbers till it feels good

And while your here Leon, how come the Mk2 was up for sale? I was ready to bid as I couldnt bare to see it sell for so little, hope it either stayed or you got a good price for it.

 

basically it was being stored at a friends house and he got notice saying it had to be moved, mike wasn't interested in it and I am currently in the middle of purchasing a honda cbr600 and sorting my DAS so couldn't afford both unfortunately.

Sad to see it go, however I don't regret doing it - learnt so much from it all and had a right laugh along the way.

It went for crazy cheap but we only had three days to get rid

Not sure if it was the same rules but thats just a maxed out ST with racing softs on, its a bit of a pig to drive but in a way its more fun as I really had to wrestle it round, can stick a video up if wanted, its a sloppy lap mind and I recon at least 6secs can be taken off.

You had a play with the settings yet, lsd adjustment make the world of difference.

 

Tried a few adjustments to the diff and it did make a bit of a difference but have not changed anything else bar the ride height, which I slammed!!

Maybe raise it up a little I think...

 

What are your exact settings for the car?

As the traction you get is unreal!? Yours seems to handles 10x better than mine.

 

The suspense is killing me so im gonna ask again how do you do this?

Well as this has died a death somewhat, presumably due to everyone realising they can't go any faster, I suggest we move on and start a new one!

New thread started for Trial Mountain Circuit!

 

Managed a 7:16.400 clean lap and a 7:13.900 red, just put four wheels on the grass. I o not think I will be able to break the 07:10.000's well done to all those who have.

 

Could just leave this one open for good so there is never a winner, but all the other comps should have a closing time. Only thinking that as Im sure we will get plenty more people wanting to have a go and as its a golf at the ring its very suited to CGTI.

I would would say the MK5 and the MK1, maybe we could have a couple of challenges going on at the same time? a MK5 and an MK1 Golf one? So what shall the MK1 challenge be? maybe the ring?
