Just the sump. I was going to have baffles welded into it, but the holes didnt line up properly.
I have a windage tray too. Will use the ally abf one for now until a shrick one comes up.
Just need to get my car on the road again asap. Will take some time out from work over the next couple of weeks and get on with it. Respray might have to wait til winter.

I will probably end up there. My car will primarily be for road use, with the odd track day with this club. Truth be told though, ive never been on a track, so should be interesting lol
I will also take it to santapod, its only 5 min away from me.
Will be interesting to meet some of the members too.

So even though my sump is already baffled I like Chris's design so I'm using his template but going to tweek it a bit with trap doors like the seat sump and bend the top of the left baffle to divert the oil dropped from my windage tray a bit like Nige has done .
Just got started and have been busy at home and work so progress will be slow:cry: but here's a couple of pics so farlol

Cleaned spare sump:thumbup: pics of existing sump are further up the page.

Cardboard template cut from Chris's . When printed Chris's seems a bit small , but I'm also going to do the two side angled baffles as one piece slotted in. If I've got any oil pump clearance issues later will heat an shape out of the way . Not sure if I'll just mig it all or try a bit of tig welding .

That's it for now will try to do some more soon . Any comments are welcome:thumbup:

I would weld the nuts as a minimum. Last thing you want is one coming off!

Ha ha. No. Although I did have someone do my welding for the cage. Didn't want that to be my first go and not had need to try since. One day I'll give it a go. I'll be sure to get your approval when I do lol

Just finished baffling my spare sump:thumbup: but!!! It's well heavy[:s] think the plate I used might be a bit of overkill lol

Is there a standard golf aluminium sump that will fit a KR engine? I can just make aluminium baffled sump then

Going to post pics when uploaded to photo bucket got some interior shots too and I'm preparing myself for some sticklol
But there's no point in giving it if you can't take it is there?lol

Why do you have a hole cut in your floor under your pedals, are you a flintstone?
