As ever, the Yanks on Vortex are saying the times are slow and bhp too high for the mods in that feature.. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2012192 Edited by: GVK
Dumb yanks! oh yeh, all the 180+bhp cars are really only standard power cars, thats why most of us even with standard gear ratios were in the low 6 secs 0-60s & within a gnats knob (& sticky tyres may have done it) of nipping into 5 sec!
Well in fairness I think most of us seem to agree Stealths rollers do defo read at the high end, but as the majority of us lot go there its a fair comparison.
Tell the poofs over the pond that times and figures don't mean much anyway. As Gary has said it's an equal comparison between different spec cars on the same day with equal comditions. It doesn't matter if they're all going uphill or downhill. Just look at the differences. Fvcking yanks It's interesting to see the differences between Chris' (my old car) and Graham Scott's. Graham's is quicker to 60 and 100 with identical quarter mile times. Shame we can't see Ian's quarter mile time
I think the only way you will ever shut them up is to either take a car over there or get one of them to pop over here for a rr . sp Edited by: fthaimike
They have pooty 16v's anyway from factory! Just keep floggin 'em kr cams and 50mm inlet manifolds for extortinate $$$$$$!! Hehe!.
get ya self to JBS in Chesterfield for a realistic dyno. eg Lupo 1.8T @ Stealth 252bhp, & @ JBS 220bhp, same car same spec.. JBS run std cars and get std power.. Stealth get >std power and its a "good" engine. http://www.seatcupra.net/files/jbsrrdaynov2004_results/robt. pdf video of RobT's valver making everyone def! http://www.seatcupra.net/files/jbsrrdaynov2004_video/RobT@ JBS.wmv
Im more than happy for mine to be shipped over & bunged on a few RRs- all at their cost of course! And would be nice if I could link that with running in the that silverstate classic road race thing, or one of the similar jobbies, might not come out with honours with a poxy 130 flat out- but id give it a darn good go anyway silverstate
