To complete the stealth mode, you need to rebadge the rear to say GOLF (without the GTI) and also change the side trim red badges. Proper stealth then ;)

Black wheels are fitted with Michelin slicks for track days :p not road legal

G60 winter steels are only 6" hence the reason the slicks are on the black wheels (7") ;)

fixed link in above post. [:$]

    Dave, car looks familiar

Looking good! Are those plates legal for UK use then? I used to have them on my Mk1 but always thought they weren't legal?

lol mines is blue though :) car will look exactly like that next month, when my wheels get powder coated black. Smoked front indicators would go well with your car as well ;)

WUR mod and set up by Stealth racing ,,,,what is this ,, what does wur stand for ??? what do u think are the advantage's of the 9a 2 litre over the 1.8 kr
,,what power where you getting out of your 1.8
i have drove mk2 golfs with the tall block 16v units
did not seem as sharp as my 1.8 unit ,

    WUR = warm up regulator
Basically it's an adjustment of the standard part fitted to the KR, it increases the fuelling under load

Never had the 1800 on the rollers as it blew up on the way home from buying the car. [:^(]

9A is a short block and a direct bolt in replacement for a KR :p

My 9A has more torque at 3000rpm than a KR does peak, the difference on the road is like night and day, no more stirring the box to overtake a HGV doing 56.. Just leave it in 4th or even 5th and go sailing by [:D]

Been on the rollers today at Stealth 174bhp/153lb/ft only mods are KR cams and exhaust (other than the WUR mod and set up by Vince @ Stealth)

so did you just fit the 2.0 bottom end for that mate??

im running a stock KR at the moment and want to take it up to 2.0 like yourself. im sure i heard i use the same head and cams, but im not sure exactly.

bet your car is as quick as a stock VR6 isnt it??

Kept up with a mk2 van with a VR6 pretty easily around Donington

Fitting a standard KR head to a 9A doesn't really gain anything according to Vince @ Stealth.

Itching to do a bit of engine work Pete, head and cams, but I don't want to ruin the great torque and driveability of the 9A!

Have you got a stone chip on your offside headlamp, looks like the condensation has got to it, or is that just the pic?
