    Glad your ok Darryn :)

Same thing happened to me, only I was driving a LWB transit at 60 down a dual carriageway, van went sideways and somehow I managed to avoid sliding over to the other side of the road and got it safely across into a petrol station :o

no, i always use Goodyear F1's, but these were only cheapos to use from June - September/Octoberish, before the RA's with the F1's went back on for winter.

besides, it didn't come with a health warning saying "this is a cheaper tyre - it will blow out and try to kill you after 2 weeks"

this was the car yesterday. i had to drive home 12 miles at 15mph as the bumper was almost on the deck...

had to drive a route to avoid pot holes, hills, curvature of the earth etc.

got the RA's back on the front the now til i get this sorted.

the flailing tyre ripped out rivet on arch too, so need to go buy more rivets for gun to get that back on

please excuse the manky car, i was actually on my was to wash it at my da's work (nightshift) when it happened :)

i may add, there was absolutely no rubbing at all. checked suspension of one that blew off, and i checked the passenger one while i was swapping that too - nowhere near anything, and no rubbing marks on the tyre

reminds me of this day in australia when we had a blowout at about 80mph

did a 270 degree turn and ended up the other side of the road, lucky there were no road-trains about

bet the sh*t came out your collar[:|]

it does like the side wall has had a hard time, you certain it hasn't rubbed on anything either

other than that I'd say a defect, the way most tyre place want it so sell you a replacement tyre, and send the old one back to be tested
couple weeks later you hear nothing:(
