make sure you keep the receipt in a safe place as they are getting a bit funny about replacing stuff under the lifetime warranty. Think its because so much of their stuff is being sold on ebay these days.

I had an awkard time trying to get a torx bit swapped a few weeks ago. Thing was the lad i was talking to when i was trying to get it swapped was the one that sold it to me 2 days before. (i had gone straight from work so not had chance to get my receipt. luckily they changed it for me.)

is a top kiyreally good kits, i've had this one for 6 years and apart from one star bit i overloaded its never let me down.

the ratchets are really good too, the are really fine so if you're in a tight spot they are very handy.

I'm very happy with mine, except today I noticed two of the sockets were repeats or wrong. I dropped by Halfords and they sorted it out without any fuss.

Had a quick chat with the guy too, and he told me they are actually made by Snap-On, but just have the Halfords stamp on. Pretty fit ay.

snap on?-i'd take that with a pinch of salt.
good set but worth buying drive size converters and some extension bars for small ratchet

Snap-On is nonsense, although I have heard repeatedly that Teng make some parts and Brit-tool others.

Regardless, hard to beat a lifetime warranty from somewhere thats open Sundays. Break a tool, go swap it. Job done.

    I'd like the Halfords set.
Rumour has it they're getting a wee bit more particular about broken part Returns though, due to the number of kits being sold / traded on forums & eBay.
Keep your receipt in a small ziplock bag in your car ;)

i got one of these sets last week, definately a bargain. Always best to keep ur reciept tho.. Halfords as with all big companies will always try getting out of a guarantee if it saves them money and keeping the reciept covers ur back. :)

My only gripe is it's a seperate case with the sockets in. I've just bought a big tool box so it's a nuisance to keep them together.

Could do with some of the Halfords socket rails to stick them on?

    u won't be dissapointed mate.

we use snap on tools where i work and the halfords ratchets have just as fine adjustments on them. not your usual cheap 90 degree turn to one click type crap.

    hth
