I agree, but you've not seen *our* gauges

I think they were surplus stock from Noah's Ark final build.

I keep telling my boss we really should retro fit a metric ruler to it. :p

Sounds like we got them from the same batch,

Cavemen tracked carts, when they still had square wheels

    Tubs fitted a broken clutch????????????????
I can see why he is thinking of getting out of engineering and back into music.

Thought I would create some mishief while he is working away in South Wales. Pity his car is broke, I normally go out to play in it while he's away.

Spoke to him earlier Chris, he was saying Helix reckon there's no manufacturing fault with the clutch so they've suggested he's either got a bent input shaft on the 'box ( unlikely? ) or crank end float [:^(] I did wonder about that, esp as he's had that rear main seal go recently too....

I'm just sick of having a broken car.

Sick of spending massive amounts on parts, only for them to be rendered usless.

And sick of not knowing why it's broke, so not daring to buy any expensive replacment parts in case it's another waste of cash.

Tubs, please, please, please don't take this the wrong way but.........

You and Gary have similar spec cars, similar power, slicks on track days etc,

Have you not stopped to examine why Gary doesn't get through a clutch and gearbox once month?

I am not taking the piss, or trying to wind you up just asking if you should start looking away from the componants.

I see what you are saying Golden, but surely, for these 3 things to all go at the same time, for the same potential reasons, all within 238 miles of each other, all at gentle, 4,000 rpm max drives.. there must be something a-miss?

It might not do if it turns out to be a bottom end failure [:^(]

i know exactly how you feel tubs....i can never get my vr6 to work right, and all the work is done on it properly. then i buy this 90 mkII and it just keeps going! its stupid and very disheartening. i just cant see me having the confidence in the vr6 to take it to the 'ring again....so much so i'm doing research into other cars of similar value.
