I scared my mate once and told him that little bolt was all that was holding the Disk in place. Should of seen his face, poor lad poo it.
I've got Steel allen head bolts used as disc retaining srews, at they dont corrode in about 5 minutes like the normal ones, and they are easy to grip with an allen! Get some of these the right size (check ETKA for screw dimensions) better than the standard ones (I had to drill one standard one out and rethread it, not nice).
You`ve got to be carefull though,if you have 2 good screws on 1 side and 2 with the heads missing on the other side it makes the car more prone to rolling over due to the weight difference
after reading this thread i decided to go check mine... GODD JOB I DID!!!! one was actually completely missing!!!! i've replaced it but because i don't know it disappeared in the first place, i've decided to leave the wheel bolts only hand tight so that i can check the retaining screws are still there anytime i like. feel much safer now Edited by: darrynK
