Nice little project!Cracking bargain for 2k!
Out of interest would it have been HPI listed at all?
I've never understood these insurers though scrapping a car with slight panel/interior or lock damage - must be the cost of main dealer parts & the high labour charges. Makes for a great purchase for enthusiasts with contacts though ;)

I've always fancied buying something like that to muck about with at weekends in preperation for a Polo/Lupo Gti engine (1.6, 125bhp).

if it's got the mpi 1.0 engine( on plastic rocker cover ) , good luck on service, it's not cheap on the parts, 2 mini air filters(7) & spark plug (15 X 4!)
other than that, it's a good engine for 1 litre!

It would soon look like nothings happened [:D]

    It's a cat D, minor panel damage.

It wasn't scrapped, the Yard sells whole cars as well as breaking them. www.simpsonsalvage.co.uk

Will I need new airbags for the MOT?

Phatty, Isn't that Fantasia Green? Looks to be same colour as our lasses Lupo Sport. Fantastic little cars by the way, I'm in hers today while my mk2 8v is in the garage. I love it (apart from the colour).

no idea, I read that it was jazz green off an autotrader ad.

I think you might be right though, I've heard of fantasia green before, Rob Fishes ond mk3 VR6 was that colour wasn't it? with a gold pearl added.

I think Jazz green is a little darker and not quite as 'in-yer-face'. I'll have to dig out the paint code.
