So I was laying in bed last night flicking through Marketplace, spotted a lathe, £100. So I messaged him, messages my dad agreed we’d split it. So I went and picked it up this evening. A Logan 200, needs a clean, then recommissioning.

And then I also saw a welder, I’m a sucker for a good welder. So I enquired, and walked away with a Lincoln Electric Powertec 231c for £50!!!

I also had to use the welder to move the lathe, and I took off the super heavy motor.

I’ll give it all a clean up tomorrow and see where we stand, I know the welder works as I he turned it on whilst I was there. Got the gun and earth clamp too.

If you have ever seen/used a storm motorwerks gearknob on a bmw mini that's what you need to aim for.

Picked up a gas bottle, some new tips and a shroud today then gave it a home.

I’m super upset the lathe has to go to my dads as I want to play with it but the shed isn’t big enough:(

Not that bad, mg has solid alloy as standard and can get a bobble hat for them.
The storm one, with handbrake was probably the nicest change I did on the R56, finish of it was amazing.

Well we are up and running, the welder at least. I ordered a new regulator, the wrong one, oops! So I looked about repairing the old one.
    This was causing my issues.

so I took it apart, put it in a drill and took it back with some sand paper and it works! No more leaking. It welds really nice.

Meant I could finally get this nipple out too. The nipple itself was a bit too small for the extractor, so fill it with weld and it was big enough.

It wasn’t fully paid for so I had to be happy with the waeco double pulse unit (£2500) with the optional fume extraction unit/torch 94873C2D-112A-40DF-8866-C7AFE26CD104.jpeg 4F4A74E9-CA05-4A46-A0D1-5DB98EF419C9.jpeg A695833A-C730-424C-BADA-ACCAE114CD90.jpeg 4B3BB79F-03E3-433F-9D69-C953B044E9F9.jpeg 1FDD304F-3909-4AD0-B102-DB89793C254B.png and the Lincoln electric ta205v AC/DC tig unit with the optional torch cooler that I paid 5k for it !
