TIG is the dream, can’t justify the 2.5k price point at the moment though.

I’m a firm believer of good tools. Some people may not class it as the best anymore but it’s my favourite, and I like having all my tools match.

I had the same model (probably the latest) but I have replaced it with Milwaukee, not on the same par on quality but Milwaukee does hit a lot harder !
Currently I keep the snap on 14.4v impact and ratchet and the baby 18v impact wrench. I sold the pair of impact and drill/driver and I felt sorry as the Milwaukee drill/driver broke soon after. 34D584ED-926B-44B3-BE5B-6D927A3D7F18.jpeg 6C44D17F-00EB-4B8C-A5C8-8FFA51BE7180.jpeg 50576F92-4CAD-49D3-A1E9-CAC7AAF1E213.jpeg 0521B15D-33A2-49A5-A38D-9CA824484489.jpeg DEC3CEC0-53CA-4353-A214-1B415E2BFD62.jpeg 690A9D12-0855-4BA6-AD22-2C9F02D6E10E.jpeg 9D59ADC0-4FB5-4B48-86C0-1D50E1F2B497.jpeg 68D6C5A4-E387-4A89-8A30-D9A3460647E4.jpeg

I’ve got a Milwaukee drill/impact thingy and I’m just disappointed by the quality. I agree the Milwaukee is better but it’s weighted horribly, like the new snap on 1/2” gun. And I love the 14.4v Snap On stuff. I’ll never trade that in, I’ve got the new brushless stuff on order too.

Totally agree with you, the Milwaukee 9Ah batteries are very good at keeping juice in but you drop them and the Carcase breaks or splits in two ! On the other hand the snap on are very hard wearing and I had the previous 7.2v screw gun/impact ran over by a Tranzit van…it lived too, bit bruised though !
The 14.4v snap on are the best tools I came across so far, nicely weighted, ergonomic trigger and just fit right in your hand ! Did I mention they are minuscule too so they go in most places ?
