Don't want to add fuel the the flames, but we we're given a brand spanking MGTF 160R in work as a demo for a fourtnight a few years back, and fair enough we ragged the bottom off it. but we gave it back with a bag full of trim that fell off the interior, about the only thing that still worked was the wireless and the (mk2 golf) window switchs.

Gutted - another dream dashed. I thought the rotor tips we're only a problem on the earlier cars. [:^(] [:^(] [:^(]

Ive had two mate and your right dont go in one if you dont want to sell your car, performance wise there is no comparison to a Na and a Turbo. Even the Rev2 is a really quick car but all the power drops off after 5k where as the Rev3's scream all the way to the red line.

i dont agree with that at all, the modified k-series make the mgf feellike a different car!! i agree, the standard mgf is dull and poo i certainly would not have one.
but having had a heavily modded 190bhp mgf and a lightly modded elise, id go with the mgf for fun factor and built quality

Ahhhh!!! The good old cosworths! Plus there's plenty of well modified (i.e. done properly not just tacky dump valves and K&N's) for cheap money!

Most midly tuned have around 260hp+ which are still rapid!

    Mmmm....

    Don't buy a 3k shed, you'll regret it.

Don't buy one that's been highly modified, you'll regret it.

Do put by a lot of money for when ( not if ) it blows up

Mate bought a white 2wd Saphirre Cos for about 4.5k recently, was unmodified bar exhaust, RS500 i/c and stage 1 chip, really good shell on it, mint underneath, I was suprised when we put it up on the ramp

Hasn't stopped him fitting Gaz coil overs, 3" (from down pipe)Scorpion, 330bhp conversion (greens/3bar map sensor,T34 hybrid turbo etc etc) and a set of Compo MOs  Goes like hot snot.
