    Hi,

I have a Mk3 Golf GTi 16v. I have 4 years no claims and I am 23. I have got a quote for just over 700 from admiral via www.confused.com (highest quote was 6712!!!) (current insurer tesco said 900).

Can anyone recommend anyone else worth trying?

    Cheers

    Luke

HIC - Im 23 and have less no claims and they would cover me for 600 fc, so should be even less for yourself.

hic seem reasonable, and brentacre are very good for dubs.
i'd try them, and i will when turbo power looms closer, we'll see just how good they are then! [:D] ;)

Try Direct Choice.Havent tried them for my Golf but they undercut most other companies by s on van insurance. And rather cheap in allowing us to swap from a Ford Galaxy to a Merc C Class 230k. Really are worth a try!

I just tried confused.com - they won't quote me on a VR with bodykit, suspension, wheels, filter & 'zorst and no other mods! Waste of space (& time). [:x]

HIC tried to charge me more to insure the VR than the Cossie I had insured through them the year before (with an extra year's no-claims) - twice as much as Flux, Greenlight & Brentacre [:s]

when i had my mk3 valver, elephant.co.uk were best for me and then adrian flux after that BUT if you plan on modding your car in anyway (and are honest and sensible enough to declare it to your insurance company) then i wouldn't bother with adrian flux as they charge the earth for, "admin fees, sir" [:x]

deffo try HIC tho, they seem to be the best atm.

Brentacre were the cheapest for me and my Mk 3 16v :)

700 doesn't sound too bad though - when I bought my car I was paying just over 600 and I was 23 with 5 1/2years NCB.
