is my mk1 worth rescuing????

    It's just as much as I love cars especially my mk1, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. I like going away for weekends, travelling and stuff.

    I'd rather not spend on something when I'm never gonna see the money again. The only reason I did the 16v conversion was cos I could actually make some money by doing it rather than cos I wanted to mod as such.

    There's loads of work there, and I would say at most bodyshop rates its beyond economical repair if you want it to look properley sorted. 600-700 is too good to be true, you can't pass up on an offer like that, get it sorted I hate the phrase but its a no brainer.

    If I were to store it in my garage, in the state it is in and sort it in a few years when time and money allows what will happen?? Will the rust grow?? The garage would be dry.

    I think this might be an option for me and I'd use the mk1 scirocco as my daily driver.

    LMFAO!!!! I looked at that pic and thought "hmmmmm, why is there all that mud in the floorpan......." few seconds later... "poo!!! what floorpan?!?!" :lol: :lol:

    That Vortex linked to above is just amazing. Some of the extreme examples of rust that have been repaired. Astonishing.
