I've got some - Kumho Ecsta's of some description - they are ok in the wet, not fantastic, but not wheelspinning everywhere in my Schricked VR6, so sounds odd to me.

If you've been used to flooring it about and letting the TC do the work, then it's probably sod all to do with tyres, and you just need to relearn proper driving!!

I have Kumho Ecsta Supras on all four corners of mine, before i lowered it i slid all over the place in the wet, is obviously better now lowered but i still don't think their performance is all that great. Squeal quite easily in the dry as well sometimes. Front's are wearing down so i think i'll be looking to try some others next time around.

Got some Kumho's of some description all round and they were pretty good in the wet TBH. Not the hardest of tyres tho they wear quite quickly, but then i do drive the car pretty hard. [:$]

They are cheap nasty tyres, like Nangkangs. And you don't want Toyo's either. Get a set of BFG's or Goodyear Eagle F1's.

I had them on a 1.0 Corsa and got w/spin in the wet! - Not great tyres IMO.

you know, i thinhk there may be a few different types of kuhmo ecsta's...may explain why some people think they're good, some think they're bad, and some think they're ok (like me)...i'll go check the model name on mine in a min.

these are the ones i have (pic says 711's, assume thats the exact model, tho nothings written on the tyre itself)...

again, they're what i term an ok tyre...don't blow my mind, but don't have me petrified in the wet (and they are on the back of an mr2)

yeah i have used them on a few cars with no problems. I have always used the 712, rated close to the toyo. (both AA's)

    712's

From memory the best tyres ive used in the wet were Avon's (model I cant remember). They stuck like poo to a blanket and they had that nice lil rim of rubber protecting the rim. Good for dodgy parkers with no P/S.

never driven a car with Toyo R1's but everybody seems to rave about them. Im a firm believer in going for the best wet weather tyre you can afford, afterall, afterall its wet more than dry here. Plus pretty much any tyre will grip in the dry.

I got toyo proxe t1r's on mine at the moment, last lot were eagle F1's, and i find the toyo's quiter and just as good - also half the price - mytyres.co.uk ;)

Although i don't go screaming about the place, everyday normal driving they are fanstic!

If you want wet weather tyres i highly recommend either:
    Uniroyal Rainsports
    or
    Goodyear Eagle Venturas
