Size of a fag lighter and produces video like this:

    * Low illumination, high resolution image with 2000K pixels
    * High speed recording and quick light response
    * 30 1 frames per second for 720x480 video output.

The cost? 22 including delivery off ebay from a UK seller. Yes you read that right 22!!!!! Ok so you need a class 6 Micro SDHC card but they're about 15 so it's still cheap.

    The scooby boys rate them:

    http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...ap-ultra-small-camera-probs-interest-all.html

although they've gone up a few quid since that topic was started.

I've just ordered one so expect some examples in the next couple of weeks! Looking forward to strapping it to the front valance for some rumble strip action at Combe in June.

No worries. I've been searching for ages for something that was cheap enough to not worry too much about breaking but was good enough for youtube posting. I would have used a compact camera but I don't own one due to having a Digital SLR. Also this is light and small enough to not have to worry about fancy mounts.

An interesting find - amazingly small - pasting a pic over:

I guess if it's hung on a bumper, it could suffer a lot of wind noise?

See how you get on Horney - I'm sure loads will be interested. Glimpse of the future IMO.

Hide it behind a front panel and no-one will know you're filming - nice find!

Really do hope mine comes in time, iv never recorded myself on track. I have my doubts that it will work that well on a airfield track due to the bumpy ride but hopefully we will see.

Edit: As Mike said nice and stealth which is ideal for the ring.

As soon as I paid 22quid for mine the price dropped to 20,doh! Got my 8gb sd card from the link on the scooby forum as it needs to be a class 6 one and most the ebay ones where class 4.

I wish I was going to Oulton next wednesday, it didnt appear till after I booked colerne and i think they where the same price, bargain for Oulton.

Yea cheers Horney for the link:thumbup:

Mine turned up today as well as the card I ordered so I should get some test footage on the front splitter of my MKII on the country lanes on sunday as long as it's not raining.

Out of interest what are people going to mount these with? Just gaffer tape, or more?

comes with a couple of holders but I think gaffer tape will play a large part of it, might drill holes in the bumper and fit one of the holders.

Well I tried T shaped holder bluetac'd to the dash in the Polo this morning and it worked really well as a temp job! Will post the video tonight when I get back from work and can edit it.

Really impressed with the video quality but I think the mic in mine is a bit broken as the sound volume is really really low. Not sure I can be bothered to send it back though.

Trip to work this morning. Lost a bit of quality in converting it to get it up to youtube but well happy for the money.

Roll on sunday when I'm gonna strap it to the front bumper of the Golf and go for a razz!

Do you always choose music that syncs with your wipers? :)
