Yes you read that right 22!!!!! Ok so you need a class 6 Micro SDHC card but they're about 15 so it's still cheap. The scooby boys rate them: http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...ap-ultra-small-camera-probs-interest-all.html although they've gone up a few quid since that topic was started. I've just ordered one so expect some examples in the next couple of weeks! Looking forward to strapping it to the front valance for some rumble strip action at Combe in June. Nick
No worries. I've been searching for ages for something that was cheap enough to not worry too much about breaking but was good enough for youtube posting. I would have used a compact camera but I don't own one due to having a Digital SLR. Also this is light and small enough to not have to worry about fancy mounts. Nick
An interesting find - amazingly small - pasting a pic over: I guess if it's hung on a bumper, it could suffer a lot of wind noise? See how you get on Horney - I'm sure loads will be interested. Glimpse of the future IMO.
Really do hope mine comes in time, iv never recorded myself on track. I have my doubts that it will work that well on a airfield track due to the bumpy ride but hopefully we will see. Edit: As Mike said nice and stealth which is ideal for the ring.
Just ordered one! Was looking at the GoPro stuff, but this is a no brainer! Well worth a 34 quid punt! Got mine from ColourCams (myzone58) for 19 quid and a Samsung 8GB sdhc from First2Save for 15 quid. 34 all in! If I get it before Oulton next Weds, I'll post up some footage Thanks to Horney! Cheers bud!
As soon as I paid 22quid for mine the price dropped to 20,doh! Got my 8gb sd card from the link on the scooby forum as it needs to be a class 6 one and most the ebay ones where class 4. I wish I was going to Oulton next wednesday, it didnt appear till after I booked colerne and i think they where the same price, bargain for Oulton. Yea cheers Horney for the link
just bought 2, as my neighbour has been after one too. I'll sell him it for 40 and he'll stil think it's cheap :-)
Mine turned up today as well as the card I ordered so I should get some test footage on the front splitter of my MKII on the country lanes on sunday as long as it's not raining. Nick
comes with a couple of holders but I think gaffer tape will play a large part of it, might drill holes in the bumper and fit one of the holders.
Well I tried T shaped holder bluetac'd to the dash in the Polo this morning and it worked really well as a temp job! Will post the video tonight when I get back from work and can edit it. Really impressed with the video quality but I think the mic in mine is a bit broken as the sound volume is really really low. Not sure I can be bothered to send it back though. nick
Just ordered mine! 7-14 day delivery.. 19.99 all in.. Looking forward to trying it out! Cracking find!! :-)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlmoB5tlx-M Trip to work this morning. Lost a bit of quality in converting it to get it up to youtube but well happy for the money. Roll on sunday when I'm gonna strap it to the front bumper of the Golf and go for a razz! Nick
