it it has a toilet bowl on it then aye it should! just make sure you do the bowl sealing ring before you fit to head, no way it'll go on otherwise, learnt that the hard way

    Ok cool.
When you mean the toliet bowl, do you mean the ring dougnuts that are clipped together with 2 large C clips?

    Hey guys,
I'm having problems getting a 1.6L exhaust manifold.
If I was to get a GTI system, will any 8v GTI exhaust do?
Also I currently have a front silencer & rear box, I've seen GTI exhausts with a extra middle silencer, is this ok for my car?
If I get a system with a cat converter, will I need to keep the cat on?

    Thanks in advance.

aye any 8v gti system, just make sure you get the later 6bolt dual pipe manifold/downpipe. extra silencers are just down to different manufacturers, stock is front silencer, rear silencer and backbox either is fine though. Early GTI/Carb 1.8 backboxes have a single tip, handy if you want to make it look stock or avoid cutting out the dual tip blank in your rear valance :)

Oh, you'll want a backbox designed for a small bumper GTI, unless you want big bumpers!

edit: forgot to say any 1.6/1.8 carby manifold will be a straight swap, might have more luck finding a GL one for example :)

Ah ok cool, thanks jonny, that clears afew things up for me.
Am I right in thinking that a backbox for a big bumper should still fit (I have small bumpers) but I will need to cut out bits of my rear valance.
