    Hi guys,,

Im new to the forum and just looking for some wisdom. I have found a 2006 R32 for sale for 16995 i couldn't believe the price when i saw it. Asked the dealer as to why so cheap and was told it has 49,000 miles on it. The previous owner basically did 1000 miles a week. Car looks in good condition but its obvious its been a reps car back seats never been sat in but the front doors cards are a tad shoddy drivers side. Alloys are kerbed a bit and there are the obligatory motorway stone chips but not too bad.

The warranty only runs to 60000 miles but for the first 2 years is unlimited milage so i will definately get one years warranty, plus i think i could extend it couldn't i?

Basically at that price would you give it a wide berth or rip his hand off?

    Thanks in advance.

I would go for it if it has full documented service history. Thats a very cheap car.

Obviously inspect the car fully and get as much out of them as possible.

Buy it, don't use it much then sell and say you done average miles or just buy it and nail it for a year

buy it, drive it for a year, then sell it for the same price you paid.

    ones that make the money,
it would of been on long life servicing, so not due for 11K - knock that on the head and go for the next in with the sale (with syntha gold 0W-30), not the stuff out of pumps, and ask to change to Time / Distance, and you should be fine on that side
all major niggles should be ironed out and does seem great deal from dealer -be carerful with warrenties, VW's is 2 years unlimited, or 60K /3 years in the UK - after that providing all serviceing has been kept will be eligable for a 'goodwill' when something goes wrong (does vary)
extra warrenty see what it covers & doesn't

comments above are valid when i had a company motor i would go to the local dealer for a light bulb and get the company to pay for it, althought i did use to hammer the s***t out of the car. and blew it up in no time

Good price, not particuarly high mileage and still under warranty, keep it for a few years and level it out and it shouldn't depreciate any more than other cars doing 18k a year...

Not sure if you guys saw these but a couple of years ago there were some MK4 32's on eBay with astranomical mileage used almost constantly for transporting high value goods to the continent... I think one was on 250k miles but it was on a second engine and gearbox...

off for a test drive in an hour, it is on the long life servicing plan and has had 2 services so far. Gonna try to beat the dealer down to 16,000 as i think it needs new front discs as there is a distinct lip on them. Any idea how much new discs and pads fitted cost at the stealers???

If our old Lupo was anything to go by......lots!! The Loop was over 300 for front discs and pads.
