VWDRC Round 7 the last event of the year for the championship.

Broke out on my last run did a 12.83 sec on a 13.00 dial in , I reduced the gas to 20% (20bhp) and still did a 12 .

Need the front cross member fitting you can see on the photo the spoiler bending with the front panel.

next event is GTI Festival so I will be able to turn the gas up and go for a PB [:D]

no don't think I need to now, running low 12's with just 250bhp, so once I fit the 3" exhaust should be able to run 100bhp of gas and hit the 11's .

it's running the best it has on the gas now I knocked 1/2 sec of my time with just 25bhp of gas.

in VWDRC you just need to be consistent with your times to win , its not just about being the quickest

    Looks heavy!

Is weight a huge concern? or is an additional few KG worth it?

Bloody good going on the times too! lovely car :)

The extra weight over the front would be a benefit

it should on be about a few kg max , I need the extra strength or it will just rip the front panel to bits .

I could even go on a diet to compensate for the extra weight [:s]

Can't quite tell from the pics, Where's does the middle bit bolt to?

I assume it bolts in between the front engine mount and front panel?

YEAH fits between front panel and front engine mount .

I drilled at taped the bumper mounts to M10 , the M8 Bolts were a bit too small were the brace fits to.

might even up them to M12

Cool louvres springs to mind. Got my Lupo bonnet punched by them at a cost of 5.00gbp per punch.[IMG].

How about bonnet hinge spacer to tilt the rear of the bonnet upwards a bit to leave the heat out?

doesn't work. Bottom of the screen is a high pressure area so it forces air into the gap rather than letting heat escape, and acts like a huge parachute

Interesting read here regarding Bonnet vents.

    http://www.autospeed.com/cms/article.html?&A=2162

popping the rear bonnet hinges is ok for getting rid of the heat when your parked up but not when you are running
