Ahh to think only 10 years ago I was buying and stripping GTi's for less than 200ea ! ,not only that when I had stripped them of what I needed and sold the rest on tto other Club GTi members the shells were so worthless that my Father and I were burying them in his bottom field! there is at least 6 shells there 3 of which are swallow tails
Not many were DW chassis numbers so might or might not be......if there is a trim sticker in the boot still that may tell you one way or another, the other way to check is to get the VW birth certificate, although I can't recall what VW site it is you need to go to in order to get that!
That's what I thought but it is A reg and has got few campaign bits, I did read some DW are campaigns on the mk1 forum No sticker in boot unfortunately, will contact VW for birth certificate Has got 5 of the 10 it needs to be one
http://vwgolfmk1.org.uk/index.php?page=cedi&type=misc&id=55 VIN plate in a Campaign. The 'E' is the crucial part. Please note that there are some valid exceptions to this final rule, and DW chassis cars are illegible for membership providing they exhibit most of the remaining campaign features and have a chassis number higher than 448319. This one is about 18,000 on from the above number so that looks promising
Just looked and it comes with original BBS RS alloys, that's a touch! Will try and find some Pirelli p's I think!
Does it have the leather steering wheel? I had mine recovered and I love it, a bit retro thin and big for power steering in the Mk 2 but a nice touch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was told it was a Pirelli item. I'm not a mk1 fan but I do love it and sets of the 02j leather polo gti gear knob setup lovely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm now a mk1 owner ! Collect it next week, need to book an mot and will take it straight there! Think it should pass
