Looks really good. If I had the room and money, id quite like a mk1 too. If I could go back in time, id probably have gone for one. Truth is, I kind of stumbled across my mk2. Initially, I was just going to get it up and running, mot'd, then sell it. Originally I was into BMW's. E30's and E36's Drove it about for a bit, which was silly, because it led me to where I am today. Not sure what happened. I guess it really is "a VW thing". Oh well.........lol Best of luck with it. Will look forward to seeing what you do with it.
Apparently this was owned but a guy called Jeff that was on here and he was from Oxford Anyone confirm this?
Exactly but finding mk1 p alloys is not easy, also on the look out for grill with fogs, not sure what else I'll need!?
What do the lock pins look like? If they're the same as Mk2 Polo, it's likely a Campaign, if they're the same as air-cooled Beetle, it's more than likely not.
Tbh didn't check them! Just because door pins are the same doesn't make it one though! Should be same as mk2 golf but the green tint glass, a pillar covers, leather steering wheel and chassis number within the numbers so of them make me believe it is one
Wow! Just wow. I often wondered what happened to "my" MK1 after I sold it a few years back. There are times when I think I shouldn't have sold it, but at the time it was the right decision. Glad to see it's still in reasonable condition and hopefully in the hands of someone that will continue to look after it. Jeffers
