The new mounts have been tapped to take the Clio one with two new bolts.

The track rod end are Clio, more that enough thread left in them when I set the tracking up by eye till it goes and gets done proper and they fit into the VW hub fine IMO.

    Cheers.

Sorry, don't think I'm being clear with my Q: does the VW steering knuckle just screw onto the Clio track rod end? ie same thread?

Have you had a test drive with it yet dub-ha8, it's been quite a while.

How much have all the parts cost you if you dont mind me asking and what pump, reservoir, hoses etc have you used?

Just to bring this thread back to life........The caddy never made it back on the road so the conversion was never tested and is in pieces in a garage down the west country;)

The parts cost me 120 for custom mounts being made, I paid around 50 for a clio rack and UJ joint and have the MK2 golf pump etc anyway.

TBH if I was to have another go at it I'd be looking at a Jap car for a rack.
Any Q's catch me on the caddy forum.

    Be lucky[:D] [:D]
