dunno really, i would thnk that certain options were not actually options and just standard stuff.. rear fog lamp for example...i think thats was a mandatory item at that point

8U0 might possibly be normal speedometer cable, see the other options next to it
P 8U0 - without additional instruments for distance measurement
    P 8U1 - printing odometer
P 8U3 - calibrated differential for tachograph and odometer

there was a cable with a trip counter inside which was for some cars with lambda, would tell you when you should change it

some other markes (USA main one) they didnt run halogen lights, popular upgrade over there to switch to euro stuff

As per usual, RubJonny has the answer.

I'm beginning to think he/you isn't a real person, rather a team of retired designers and engineers from the 80s and 90s who used to work for VW, locked into a big room and constantly scouring the web for people (like me!) asking random stupid questions about old Volkswagens :lol:

In fairness, I was none the wiser about a new screen either but that brand new one on the Jeep makes me feel like I have 20/20 vision (which I haven't but you know what I mean)

I'm trying to organise an OEM one for the M5, without it setting fire to my wallet... I've been happy enough with aftermarket ones in everything else, but I'm a bit precious about my e39 tbh.
The difference it (a new screen) makes at night or with a low sun is mind blowing.

Were they out of stock of Baler twine at Bannels?
Good luck with the test, sure it'll be fine.

couldn't find a cable tie long enough haha!

I'm going to build another false floor as this one had a Sub woofer in it..so has a gert big hole...but its not going anywhere so thats ok.

i took it out on a private road the other night and its rapid with the new set up...not sure why people want more than a k03s at this point, but i'm sure i'll be after a K04 before we know it

That's something that so many people miss.
    Chasing numbers.
I often said it about my old mk5 GTI (K03), that that kinda responsive power in a mk2 would be more than enough for anyone unless you were tracking it.

    I’ve not driven a K03 car. Only a K03s. I wouldn’t have thought it was that much
