Hey, I don't disagree with that at all.

Its good companies are doing things differently. TBH, I'm fed up with all the 1.8T conversions that are about. To be fair once you've seen/driven one mk2 20vt you've seen them all, just with a different viriation on a theme.

If it was a blown R32 lump in a mk2 then it would be seriously interesting to see it go down teh strip. Otherwise it would just be a quick mk2 VR6 with teh added bonus of "wow, the first R32 powered MK2" which novelty will wear off once you've seen it. Just IMHO tho

fair play its a new breed,

did people say the same when tuners were dropping in G60s in to anything left right and center? or turboing 16v lumps or whacking on a set of carbs or TB?

1.8T maybe the new trend and why, daily usable power with little or none running problems and tuning is nice and easy!

Gonna be having a butchers at it for sure at inters though, wonder whether the theme of the car will follow the R32 mk4 theme, ie same interior etc...?

I had a friend who was convinced that he was going to put a W8 into the back of his White Mk2. He swore it would have a 05M (i think?) transmission...
yeah... and then he sobered up.
