lol Yeah a little mate. Lost my voice for 2 days! Thanks for asking.

Ventured out into the big wide world to check progress on the mk4 today. Ive cheated and had someone do the work for me! :o But its getting there. Just hope it handles aswell as anticipated. And fingers crossed, it should be ok for a remap tomorrow.

Glad you enjoyed donny. Really hope to make the next event in either the mk2 or mk4.

No Mat. No news means i'm too pi $$ ed off to talk about it! lol

Word of advice to anyone thinking of buying one of these cars. Especially if the words "enthusiast owned" and "no expense spared" are in the add,
check it, double check it, and then get a mate to just double check everything, just incase! lol

Oh, and please, whatever you do, dont test drive it after driving about in vans for months! Cus even a 95 plate micra will seem pretty quick! lol

Had loads of issues with it. Will post details up when I have the time to write everything down. I think it might just be the most dyno'd car in northamptonshire at the moment! lol

Sorry mate. Been alot busier than expected with work. Progress is being made on the mk4. Its over at VRS in northampton at the moment awaiting parts etc. Im having alot of work done on it, engine wise, none of which I can take any credit for! But it should be quite a decent mk4 when done.

    Engine/gearbox spec will be,

Full turbo back miltek exhaust with decat
    Turbo dynamics hybrid turbo
    034 motorsports manifold
    LCR fuel pump
    4 bar fpr
    Bigger injectors
    Front mount intercooler
    New forge coolant hoses
    PEC forged rods
    New rings
    3" maf
    3" turbo intake pipe
    Honda S2000 cone filter
Rebuilt gearbox with a Wavetrac LSD
    Volkswagen racing short shift
    SAI removed and deleted
Run in and remapped to suit!

    Already done,

    Eibach pro springs
    Bilstein B4 shocks
New front and rear top mounts
Eibach front and rear anti roll bars
    Powerflex dog bone bushes
    Blue ATE brake fluid
Brembo brakes with red stuff EBC pads and EBC discs
    Braided brake hoses
    forge blue pipework
    Forge 008 dv
    New red coil packs
    Various sensors and valves replaced
15mm Eibach hubcentric spacers on the front to clear the Brembos. Same on the back so it doesnt look weird! lol
Goodyear eagle F1 tyres all round
    Pioneer sound system

Probably a few other bits ive forgotten. 300bhp and/or 300flb give or take would be nice and enough for me. Nothing too crazy. [:D]

VRS will be doing a little build thread on their facebook page when they start it. Might be worth a look if your interested. They do some pretty amazing work and definately know what they are doing. Have a look at their facebook page. https://m.facebook.com/pages/VRS-Northampton/116115708405730

Bought a set of anni BBS RC alloys this evening from a guy in Northampton. Plan is to put these tyres, which look nearly new, onto my other set of alloys and the new tyres I bought onto this set. Freshly chrome powder coated and look brand new. They hav'nt been on a car since done. Centre caps are also new, but will change the VW centres for BBS ones. The older set and the tyres on these will be used for track days. Besides, the tyres are a bit too low profile for my liking!

    So, quick pic...........

Thanks Jo  Im going to the Bedford track day in March. If you go, your more than welcome to take it out for a rip mate. I wouldnt mind having a look over your MK2 aswell. I cant take any of the credit for the work being done though to be honest. Except for fitting the stereo! Best if I stick to the basics of my MK2 lol I was going to just have it mapped and wait until later in the year before I had any real engine work done to it, but my local, w/boro, so called specialist tuner totally messed it up. Long story. In the end it would'nt even run properly. Kept cutting out and losing power. Basically undriveable. Had to send it over to Northampton in the end. Which is what I should have done to start with. Either that or park it up the blokes ar $! lol

Its over at VRS Northampton mate  Really helpful, know what they are doing and dont cost a fortune. Well worth giving them a bell just to see if they can help out Smithy.

Hoping to get it back this week. [:D]
