MK4 R32 : 200 Cell Sports CATs; struggling with P0420 & P0430 codes

    Well that bloody sucks... What appear to be brand new CATs have thrown up he emissions light after 110 miles and about 7 cold start journeys and one hot start after filling up. Right after I filled up pulled out the garage and ping.... Away for the weekend without the laptop so will get it on VCDS on Monday night ..

    Yup... No one else on R32OC seems to have problems with the same CATs... Something's obviously uspetting it. Wonder if its the calibration? I have 1990s R32 ECU to test... Probably worthwhile sticking it in and running on it for a few days to draw a comparison.

    Stuck it on VVDS last night too and no faults logged with fuel trims looking good too... Meh!

    If it's all good with OEM cats, surely it's the sports cats at fault?

    what fuel did you use
    i found when mine had the 2.8 it didn't like runing on 95 mpg would drop buy a good bit plus didn't run as good
