Your arms can get torn up pretty bad if you're wearing just a t-shirt as I found out last year, but I was at a quarry, not on mud.

Well it was a bit "extreme"
Anyone who knows Innerleithen will know the last section is part of the downhill routes.
Still managed it, nearly ,without killing myself.

    Yes it was really good.
The sight from the trailhead of it though made me think twice but I went for it anyway.
Climb up to Minch Moor was excellent as was the track down until Plora Craig section which I found very demanding and by the time I got to Caddon bank I was knackered.
Can`t wait to go again

    Nice bike.

After a Trek hybrid myself when finances permit.

Btw, are you saying we have police force members who aren't fit!;)

Have you tried to get one through the Cycle to Work scheme.
To summarise 1k towards a bike of that value or higher for 500 plus anything over the 1k you paid and cycling to work is optional ;)

Just got one of these in sales.......:)

12 of us are going to Cwmcarn on Sept 14th then onto Afan for two days, can`t wait! 18 of us went to Afan last yr..

Dubya, if you get bored of driving to ride have a look in Kenilworth Common, some mega sketchy stuff over there, just have to hunt for it. You look pretty mad so you`ll probably love it. There`s a 4X track in Leamington, Newbold Common, as used in the national series. Not a patch on Chicksands though

Anyone ride in the lookout/swinley forest bracknell?

    http://www.gorrick.com/swinley/index.php

Me and a few friends try to go there once a week, due to holidays and poor weather we haven't been for a while but i got back there yesterday for a quick 10 mile ride on single tracks.

Theres loads of trails there, a lot of it is maintained and we usually do a ride of about 16-20 miles of singletrack.

I ride a 2003 Kona Kikapu Deluxe (Easton Ultralite Aluminum Tubing):

Shout if any help needed - I dealt with it as both an employer and employee!

Bikes just gone in for first (free) service - My disk brakes are pretty noisy (Juicy 5s) so hope they'll sort them.

replace them with a set of hopes;)
