What do you peops think :p

Manifold was made by a mate using original lower half for a flange

Itb-s are of mv-agusta motorbike,45mm! Spaced to suit. they have shallow angle butterflies so should be easy to map

Fuel rail was shortened and injectors are high impedance vauxhall xe items

Crank sensor is also vaux and tps sensor came with bodies

All i need now is to make brackets for itb-s,hose to join bodies to manifold, some trumpets and air box and will bolt everything up

After i make harnes will get wayne to map the ecu and hopefully should hear these babies at full chat!

So far total cost is around 200!

Nice one  I'm liking the idea of these budget ITB conversions. :)

Might sound a bit silly but would you have to trailer it to get it mapped or will that Magneti Marelli ECU be able to get the car there under it's own power carefully?

Do you use the same fuel lines and pump? i.e. Mk1/Mk2 K-Jet Pump, Accumulator, Fuel lines under the car.

Any chance you could draw up a diagram of how you're going to make the loom? [:$]

Or even, would it be possible to use mega-squirt to run the engine with the ITB's?

you certantly can use megasquirt and i have considered it my self but i fancy giving this ecu a go first as i have been told by wayne that it is very good and the fact that it cost me 50 with coil pack!

Not sure if present map will get the engine going, i have started a thread on that subject but didnt realy get an answer, will ask wayne

I will be using a k-jet pump and fuel lines but will add pressure reg to run aprox 4bar, anyone got 1 spare?

Once i get spare time to make the loom i'l post some pics

Fully rebuilt bottom end, new bearings, polished crank...

Fitted with a uprated clutch and whole lot balanced

    Head ported/polished

    New valve guides and tappets

    Piper 264-s

Only covered 3k since rebuild so its still very tight, but was very revy and torquey

I took it out of my rado after uninsured driver smashed into me and wrote it off [:x]

looking good :p try and find a fiesta zetec coil pack, then you can use the vw leads,my fuel pressure is set at 3-bar,fit the crank censor&pulley while the lumps on the floor,be easier to align up,did you not get the loom with the ecu?makes the wiring easier, ecu might be imoblised so will need sending of,no need for the accumalator, you could try and fit a digi fuel pump to make things easier, mine ran on a 106 rallye map to get it to the rollers :)

Cheers louis, no didnt get the loom but will get ecu connector from wayne and make my own loom

Like i said will get wayne to put a "get me there" mapp on it and take immobiliser of it if its present

Is 3bar enough? Any FPR-s suitable to be had from scrapy?

Will fit pully and crank sensor while on floor and also make all brackets before it goes in

Another one of my bargain finds,

"83 mk1 gti, shell just been profesionaly restored and sprayed in MG royal metalic blue, car still in bits, owner have no time to put it back together

    Comes with aftermarket suspension,exhaust...etc

    How much.....?

    500! [:D]

Now the shell is bare i thought it would be rude not to keep it that way and stick my engine in it :p

In that pic you can see i left quite a bit space between manif and bodies with trial brackets

once i make brackets will make sure they are adjustable so i can play with distance between bodies and manifold

Also will make sure i can adjust angle they sit at

Need to make inlet tract as long as possible for max torque

Where is the best place to get air horns?
