I've binned the old radiator :( I'll rummage through the many many many parts that I've picked up off the floor when I get home.

I was hoping to get my car running this weekend, but I've a sneaky suspicion it might be put on hold.

I've still got stuff to buy so I'll just add this to my now way over budget list.

As of tomorrow though, it will look 'visually' fixed :)

Good news, I've still got the thermo/temp/fan/switch thing for the radiator and I've just had my bumpers delivered! So it's all go this weekend!

done lots of hammering and shouting today... lost a lot of blood too.

    Front panel is on
    Radiator is on
Valance is on (grille for valance refuses to clip on)

Bumper isn't on, just chilling out.

Need to fit indicators headlights and spotlights
most of the screws for light brackets broke in the crash, so looking for new ones. (I'll write about that tomorrow)

Pop the grille back, get bonnet sorted and WHOOMP THERE IT IS

Probably missing a load of other stuff too...

Spotlight adjusters only available at vw heritage for approx 14 for the six or ebay but more expensive! , screws are the same as front panel to inner wings
I have some I could send you but they won't arrive till Tuesday at least!

I started the car today and noticed the fan isn't spinning, is it supposed to spin constantly or does it spin when it gets too hot?

Water temp sits in the middle as it always has.

    Cheers,

    These?

    http://www.gsfcarparts.com/942vg0630

Is that for the pair or separately?

I suppose then I'll just need the screws to attach it to the front panel?

Tom I've got a few sets of lights and front grills here if you're stuck , or do you want all new ?
It's ok for you to drive in the day without head lights so you could drive over Friday and we can sort it all out :)

The lights I have already are perfectly fine, if a little old. I just have no screws for them.

And I'll want new lights eventually, but there's no rush.

I already have a grille, thanks.

Well, if it's OK to drive without lights then there is nothing stopping me now from coming over on Friday.

    Looking forward to it.

if you're worried you could use extra large cable ties thru the screw holes to put the main lamps on

the spots can be left off the grille no problem
