Yeh crystal headlights are wicked, got all crystal lights all round on mine. If its front fogs that are cracked then i found a cheap solution to prevent it happening again. Coz mines so much lower then standard it had a tendency to go through foglight V.quickly, so i used some Foliatec wire mesh in front of them which don't look too bad and saves you money! :)

GPC sell foglight lenses for 12. Easy to fit. I still need to kick the right hand one to get it to light up though

Its a shame our local Saxo / Clio owners don't have the same problem - what with their's being on ALL THE TIME [:x]

Cheers Higgim.. I'll give them a bell for sure!

Do you think G60 arches will look ok? or are the wheels a bit
    on the skiny side?

What size tyres are people running on, mine look quite 'high'
profile compared to some I've seen with BBS rims?

That is gorgeous, gorgeous colour! All you need is a set of coilovers and some rims [:D]

I personally would keep it totally stock, MKII Golfs are one of the most timeless designs and I feel changing cosmetic features detracts from this, I would be more inclined to update things under the skin i.e. anti roll bars, better brakes, good suspension and perhaps a few engine modifications. Whatever you decide to do best of luck with it.

Looks great! Photography is cool too, it's a minor hobby of mine an' all... Haven't tried many dusky/night shots of the car yet though.

When its taxed and sured I'll be there for sure m8 ;)

Still unsure which car to sell.. mk4 or mk2.. I can't have both..

The idea was to sell the mk4 and buy a mk2 to give me enough
money to finish my MGB GT project.. yes MG.. long term thing!!

Love it, looks mint, don't mod it too bad, just lower it and keep it more aless standard. Rims suit it as well so don't change them.

    thanks for the replies :)

keeping her standard is the way to go defo, on the outside
anyway.. The Estorils are booked in to Spit n Polish next week
to sort out a few chips, and I'll probably book her into Stealth for
a session.. having a few probs stalling at junctions!

What engine mods would people recommend.. according to the
history she's already got a ported recon head? can someone
explain the 'K-star' conversion to me?

    cheers ;)

well in the process of removing all the poorly fitted stereo
wires.. cd changer rolling about underbeath the front seat, and
some random speaker wires not connected.. I gave all the
seats and carpets a good soak and put them in the house
    overnight to dry out.

I think the only thing I'll wanna change is the steering wheel,
    the original ones are crap!

There's a few little clips missing from the rear panels which I'll
    sort out another weekend..

Here's how much crap came out of the seats alone:

How do you clean seats properly? Mine are almost certainly full of crap.

Oh, and  on the Golf, very nice. I'm thinking keeping it std looking, looks in fantastic condition. Crystals all round ;) good plan.
