whats with the seats! i cant imagin they would put it on the same rims as the gti?

Tim, those are the official Volkswagen press pics. That is how the Polo GTI will look, a smaller version of its big brother.

Shame they only opted for the 150bhp 1.8T though, the 180bhp would have been more fun

 

I like it. its really grown on me since i saw the pics yesterday. glad they're using a 'proper' eninge in it

and with a few 'tweeks' I'm sure they could be real little monsters

don't think I'll be buying one tho

 

see they've kept the same crappy creaky rattly dashboard

I saw this in the back of car magazine couple of months back.
Does look wicked but they have messed up yet again.
They gave the mk5 ONLY 200bhp and called it a gti but yet u can buy a Audi A3 for less money with 200bhp.
Then they bring the polo out with 150bhp in standard form and 180bhp in a striped out form.
When the 180bhp does come out it will give a the mk5 a really good race, and i would rather buy that for less money then have a mk5 for 20k+.

Find me a price for an Audi A3 2.0T, with the same spec as the Golf GTI, for less than 20K and I will back up your statement. However, I doubt you will find one

Where did you hear about the 180bhp version?

 

Looks quite nice in those pics. Wonder when we'll see actual photographs.

 

Someone on uk-mkivs has spotted some Polo GTI's on a transporter....

Polo GTI capable of 0-62 mph in only 8.2-seconds very poor

Think it's got a Aston LM car on the front of it and the new range rover.

Gash rear lights, otherwise a Golf GTI that's been put in the wrong kind of wash cycle.
