How is that very poor? Carfolio.com, which isn't flawless of course, provides this list of the 20 fastest vw's 0-60. Placing in join 11th, against past VW's isn't exactly poor . Interesting that the top two places are actually held by silly money luxury models too...
I actually like it - it will be very tuneable - critical thing will be the pricing - pitch it at 15k and I'd be very interested in buying one
I like it too, but the current top of the range model, 1.9 TDI Sport starts at 15,290, so I would imagine the GTI to be starting from at least 15,995+
