With the release of this new version of the R32, how long do you reckon we will have to wait to see a reduction in price of the old R32... "The never, never" is becoming very tempting...
With a little bit of work it looks better. VW should have given the arches a little flare to make it stand out more. Once you've got rid of the horrible plastic vents, lost a bit of the chrome and slammed it, it's not too bad.
that is truely awful.. id say the seats look nice... but even they are ruined by the amount of cheap bulky plastic down the sides... how on earth did the mk1/2 turn into that pile of cheap looking crap?!
They need to lose that chrome/silver effect to the front end, & the new wheels have too many spokes IMO. Whilst they are at it, why not lower it a touch more & increase the track/flare the arches Think the mk4 is a far better looking R32, & stands out as the flagship model Edited by: chrismc
i think that looks so unspeacial!!GTi looks much more sporty and desirable, whats the point in having 2 cars that are so closely matched with such a big price tag difference?? i mean when ford where guna bring out the new rs, they had the new stwith 225bhp or summit and the RS with over 300bhp going through all the wheels and that would cost a bit more but youd know it when your leaving the ST for dust!!! sorry but the price range its in is for people who have a healthy wage packet and wont push the engine or handling like its suppose, just a new model so they gotta have it. GTi is the real peoples champ!!
seems like the sporty-ness is out and luxury / refinement is in but seriously whats all this about better economy? ure gonna buy a 30k 3.2 luxury hatchback and worry about mpg?
Ive got you guys to thank, I emailed those pics to a customer of mine, and he's just left me a deposit for the new mk5 R32 First order for our dealership too
+10bhp isn't enough. It's underpowered, just like the current R32. Needs 300bhp to be what VW would want us to believe it is. The chassis can handle it. A missed opportunity, no doubt due to internal VAG politics as VW won't want to upset Audi's new S3.
Do remember that a "special" version will be released near the end of the MK5's lifetime... Maybe then you will see an R36 and over 280bhp
