New track toy...new wheels/tyres?

So, the OZs arrived this week and look fantastic!! I've subsequently purchased a set of Yokohama AD08 competition oriented tyres in 195/50R15, which should arrive next week. First track day is Nov 20th, can't wait

 

Let me know how you get on with those tyres, Looking into a set myself.
Was it a local purchase? How much?

 

Will hopefully be giving the AD08s their first outing on the road tomorrow, if the weather stays dry Just bought them online via Demon Tweeks in the end, seemed as a good a price as anywhere else. They certainly look / feel more track oriented compared to 'normal' road tyres, so it'll be interesting to see how they perform.

Got a couple of prices for some Tyres.

AD08's 72.80 +Vat Fitted
R888's 118 +Vat Fitted
Toyo T1R's 43 +Vat Fitted.

Thinking about getting a set of T1R's for the time being before i get really into it and then go for an expensive set.

 

I'm sure i can get the AD08's for 58ish+vat ...... memory escapes me

Was considering a group buy and see if i can get the price a bit lower

Didn't get round to trying them out in the end, as I had a load of other work to do on the car. I was supposed to be doing a track day in it tomorrow but will now be doing it in my S4, as there are still a few jobs that need doing before I'm happy to run it out on track.
