Rght don't laugh.. On the one show last night, peter Andre was on it, they ha a picure of his old house. Sitting pretty outside was a mk1 golf with what looked liked tinted lights haha
lol haha not laughing at you but i didnt think peter andre had any taste! (clearly hasnt in women! imo)
its not a film but a kids programme, higgledy house, looks like a Lowish spec car but has chrome window seals and is tidy from what i can see.
Loads of TV ads these days seem to use all manner of VWs, but Mk2s especially can be seen. LVE Insurance ad has one having it`s wing tw*tted. Can`t remember what the advert is for, but it`s the `haggling` one with Omid Djalili...Mk2 gets backed into a Rover. ING ad from a few years back had a couple of Mk1s and Mk2s. there was a film i wached a while back had a light green k plate mk2 16v in it cant think wot it was called but the car looked mint
24 Hour Party People - a mk2 of some description (I think a GL) is used in a scene where someone gets shot in Manchester on the street (if I remember right the shooter is driving the mk2) Ronin - I think the mk2 in the background is the same one again and again. They obviously have a pool of cars that are used as background cars because you keep seeing the same cars in the background There are a few others, but can't remember them off the top of my head! clock the old 'Aufweidersein Pet'(first series)progs when they go to Germany, lots of mk1 n 2's, also was watching Minder the other day and Arthur's new minder Ray steals and strip down a white mk2 then puts back together and unsteals!
wasnt there a maltesers ad (or other chocolate) where a couple of girls were in a heavily modded blue mk2? think it may have even had the M3 style mirrors? cant remember it properly but im pretty sure there were a couple of tracking shots of the car in motion and then the two girls went and knocked on someones door? anyone remember it or am i going mental? i can be a bit more vague if you really want....!
Yup the car was also in PVW IIRC, the guy who owned was fizzing afterwards as they had changed the tinted glass to clear and the car had loads of scratches on it..
im not sure id hire my motor out to a tv company, reading some of the horror stories about how they get treated!
