personally id always go for a wet system

N20 is a just a power adder, a way of getting more O2 into the
cylinders. The aim of tuning whether your ramming it in with a turbo
or spraying N20 is to add as much 02 as possible with the right
amount of fuel to burn nicely.

If you want to take a 172bhp VR to 272bhp via a supercharger
or a poo load of NA tuning then it will mean engine mods. 99% of
the time everything is carefully calculated, and the engine is built to
    take the power.

Where N20 is different is that it is ecredibly easy to install and get
good gains. it is even easier to change to amount of N2O injected.
This is where people get greedy and add too much to a stock engine.

Here is a question for you...

If you were to build a VR6 that could handle and generate 500bhp
with the use of the turbo, and a similar physical spec NA VR6 which
    attained 500bhp through a 250bhp N20 shot. Would the N20 car be
    any less reliable?

Turbo and supercharges benifit from the additonal charge cooling you get from injecting nitrous which means greater power gains.

From what I`ve read you can`t rely on nitrous for charge cooling because it adds more temp to the engine in the combustion fase than it takes away. I`ve talked to people who have put their hands near a nitrous jet when it`s delivering and the actual temp is near enough at ambient (I haven`t done this and don`t think anyone else should either  ).

    ive read this too.

how and where would the jets etc go on a g60?

in the pre intercooler pipe after the charger or after the intercooler in the throttle body pipe?

may be interested in this in the future :)

    neil.

Depends on how it reacts to boost and vacuum, best place would be just before the throttle body I would have though, depends how much room it needs for mixing properly?

I`ve not looked into nitrous for power increases at all really, for charge temp decrease the best option is to fire it at the outside of the ic apparently.

yeah heard that one too [:D]

need to go for a front mount ic first really, and then probably a water spray, just thinking about maybe a 50bhp shot in the future.

all in the future though [8(] just interested in how it works and wotnot.

as far as would the lambda need upgrading and what about the co pot? [:$]

    cheers keith,neil.
