Matt just fired up my engine and as they were driving it around on the rebuild, it started rattling [:^(] [:^(]

Basically, the head is totally f**ked, something about how the camshaft is seated with how the head warped under the heat, and if i carry on driving it as it is, it'll snap it

I need a new head. [:^(] [:^(] [:^(]


If anyone knows of a mint 210 / 225 20vt head, please let me know

Why isnt anything straightforward?

Port size differences or the like?

Its always the cheap bit that ends of costing a f*cking fortune (WHY, cos the car companies want your money)

I suppose now at least you can get some head work done and squesh a few more horses out.

 

Yeah, it needs to be a 210bhp or a 225bhp engine, my particular code is AMK, but i think BAM is the same.

you can tell because the throttle body is on the right hand side instead of the left hand side.

The throttle body hasn't got anything to do with the head.

Its just the a different inlet manifold. You can fit a large port early non VVT head if ya like, but its extra hassle.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

I know what you mean about small things costing loads. Been there before.
