I hate doing it, sat behind one for ages today, I just think they might be thinking "tw@, if he wants a race he can have one" and then floors it (or the motorbike equivalent which I guess would be 'twists it'.) When obviously I don't, because its a motorbike and that would be stupid..

Anyone else have an irrational driving 'thing' that doesn't make sense?

When I'm riding my bike I do that sometimes to the boy racers (the tw@s that like to rev the Saxos at the lights). They have a go then have to drop back :LMAO
You should see them driving at 30 mph afterwards behind me [:D] [:D] [:D]

Never done it to a vdub tho.. ;)

Not all bikes are quick. Get to know what bikes are what then you will know what you can beat and what you can't. Hint: the crappy two-strokes race replicas (ones that sound like a bee in a tin can) are not very quick. Anything over 400cc (especially sporty ones) then don't bother race, it will leave you.

you effing what? Any sports stroker over 125cc'll do most cars off the line. An RS250, or the older RGV250s or similar, are stonking little bikes. Even an '80 RD350LC is still quick enough to annihilate most "normal" cars.

125 2 strokes have similar power to a 300cc 4 stroke and are pretty rapid, they can reach 60 in 5-6 seconds, and top at at 120.

I used to ride a 125cc 2 stroke suzuki and I don't think they are all that brilliant. Yes they do beat most cars off the line but then so did my 4 stroke 125 I had afterwards. I used to race my 4 stroke against my mates 2 stroke aprilia 125. The aprilia was quicker but only by about 2 bike lengths after about 200m. The difference was that the 4 stroke topped out at about 75MPH while the 2 stoke kept on going...

As for the 2 stroke 250s they are rare. Chances of bumping into one are slim (although possible - before I start another argument).

I had a 125 and it wouldn't do anything like that. That seems a bit quick for the majority of 125's.

As a new female member to this site, I'd just like to say that you wouldn't be able to get close enough to my other half's back wheel to do that!!

Got a mate who was almost knocked off by a driver, the driver made the mistake of stopping to argue. My make knocked the sh*t out of the guy and dropped the keys to his Audi 100 down a sewer grate. [:D] Just goes to show you dont know who your upsetting and how balanced they are.

one of my mates was killed on a bike. i'm always nervous if i'm around one...but it really bugs me when i'm following one down one of my fav back roads and they floor it in a straight line and then cruise round corners...i drive the roads to enjoy the corners, and they spoil it for me.

Hehe, i got a new set of tyres fitted to my 400 the other week. :) try and keep up with me now ;)

Oddly enough i find the golf as fun in corners as the bike... I suppose it's swings and roundabouts - they're fun in different ways.
