There is `something` to sort ..... it`s the discrepancy between how the two grades of fuel are performing in the same car under the same conditions.

There can be alot of difference in using the wrong fuel, for instance if you put diesel in it......

The only car that ive known to react badly to running lower ron petrol is the subaru impreza, when running on 95 and not 98 they can run lean on number 4 cylinder eventually leading to the demise of the engine, this has happened quite a bit to uk owners so in that case its fairly essential that if you run a scooby you should run 98ron fuel.

However in a 1.6 gti, im sure you could run it on moonshine and not see any difference in power or engine wear, imo id say running 95ron in a 1.6, rated at 97ron wouldnt make the blind bit of difference.

At the end of the day its down to what your happy with, 95ron will do just fine, but if you feel the need to use 98/99ron go ahead, there will be no difference between the two when being used in a 1.6.

    quite wrong actually

forum rules state this area is used for a topic that does not fit in any of the other areas.

doesnt state anywhere that u can spam up threads by posting irrelevant crap becuase you have nothing to post of relevance
