finally got her sorted. Got Gaz at vag auto care services in lincoln on the case. Mk5 cam pulleys, cam sensors and casing were swapped for mk 4, exhaust cam shaft was then swapped quickly followed by the regulator solenoid (I think thats its name). Full service and haldex service for 1/4 of vw@'s price for a chain replacemaent(which wasn't needed lol). Well worth a 2hr drive and 3 trains home, got the same tomorrow to pick her up. Hope this thread helps someone out in the future, I now have my dream car ha ha
Nearly 12 months of ownership and I love the car. EML has stayed off except for when the SAI pump went. Happy days lol
