Restoring a mk1 gti ? Very rusty see pics

I wondered that about the rear window. It looks rather cool.

The shell looks like a candidate for being completely stripped, blasted or dipped, and putting on a rotisserie.

 

Mike, you have enough unfinished Golf Projects. IMO, you don`t need another, especially one in this condition !

 

I think I need to stick with what I've got

It'll be appearing on eBay soon or I can buy for a member and sort guy thinks it's worth 450 as is does anyone fancy it for that money or do you think it'll go for less on eBay?

Bumping this as nut 20v wants it but he hasn't done a mk1 so what are the pitfalls ?

Mike(sirguydo) and nut20v ended up not wanting this, so he gave me the guys number to have a look at it. I've left a deposit on it, and am hoping to pick it up in the next week or two. Once I can get some transport sorted, and I've made some room for it.
